Steve's IT Support was originally established in Telford. We can provide IT Support to individual clients and also to small to medium sized businesses. Steve's IT Support has been installing network infrastructure, supporting users, building, repairing and upgrading PCs and laptops for over 16 years. We are now situated back in Telford and we're ready to put our company on the map for our quality of service. We will still support North East clients as promised.

for network infrastructure installation Pulled and terminated 1* 100 core telephone cable (CW1308) and 576* Cat5e cables terminated in patch panels. This enabled the relocation of the data centre to the first floor. Achievements: Assisted with the installation of a new telephone infrastructure within projected time schedule for the new phone install in June.
Supported users and managers using Windows 95/98/2000/XP/Vista and Windows 7. Installed/configured Windows, Office 97, Lotus notes and IBM client access. Created backups to server using Blackarmor NAS backup and Retrospect backup 7.6. Setup PCs and printers, created user accounts, diagnosed and repaired PCs and printers. Created/managed and reset user accounts in Active Directory. Created/managed email accounts in Exchange 5.5/2003 and repaired email archives. Supported production and office workers with PC, sunray, network and user support. Supported mostly face to face but also via email, phone and remotely. DHCP configuration and IP assignment using secure MAC reservations. Added computers to the domain and set up the network drives, printers and permissions. Set up and repaired PCs for production and office workers. Installed network infrastructure via Cat5e cable to patch panels and wall sockets. Installed/wired up patch panels, switches and MRV and etherlite console servers. Traced/diagnosed and repaired network issues. Liaised with contractors, suppliers and ordered stock. Achievements: Confident at IT support and communication within a company. Network infrastructure in a corporate environment and can finish projects before dead lines. Better at solution finding and the knowledge gained at Synnex in 2 years and 7 months is invaluable.
Collected servers from the line, wired them up, scanned them in and put them on test. If they failed, cleaned them up and retested them. Once passed, scanned them out and unloaded them. Achievements: Learnt to test servers and meet the dead lines while under extreme pressure.
