As the Principal of Books, Taxes & More, I advise high-income individuals and growing businesses on managing IRS and state tax risk arising from complex income, reporting, and compliance environments. My work focuses on identifying exposure before enforcement escalates, correcting structural and procedural breakdowns, and representing clients directly before taxing authorities when audits, notices, or collection activity are already underway. I evaluate procedural posture, defensibility, timing, and leverage to determine which actions preserve resolution options and which actions increase risk unnecessarily. Representation work includes audit defense, appeals preparation, penalty abatement, negotiated collection alternatives, and compliance stabilization. Clients typically engage me when filing compliance alone is no longer sufficient and tax decisions require disciplined oversight. I regularly coordinate with attorneys, financial advisors, bookkeepers, and payroll providers to ensure tax risk is addressed deliberately and does not fall between disciplines. The objective is clarity, control, and predictability in situations where unmanaged complexity often leads to escalation.
