The REC Education Sector Group Chair is a member elected position. I hope to prove that my election will bring a benefit to all members by focusing on key market conditions and factors. My mission as chair, is to positively impact the perceptions of our industry and sector by ensuring that schools and teachers can expect high standards from members with a quality measure that is fit for purpose. The role has a number of main functions:- >Represent members in topics ranging from market conditions, legislation changes, safeguarding and procurement. >Meeting with organisations that will or can influence the sector,such as DfE, DBS, Teaching Unions, Teaching Associations, MPs, Academy Chains, Procurement Organisations. >Chair sector group meetings - ensuring that meetings are effective, structured, and that members are listened to within a atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect.
