They offer and share advice, counsel, encouragement and affection- borne of their own experience and determination. They are comrades, medical advisors, listeners, and most importantly, friends. A voice for each other, an inspiration for each other. This enables us all to feel strong enough to fight the grave impact of this menace- medical, social and legal. And so, we often call our survivors, fighters.
