I am responsible for the overall Planning, Designing and Development of Product Collection based on strategic integration of Sales, Forecasting & Trend Study. The role requires me to be a strong team leader, able to multitask constantly across all departments focusing on all four major categories of the brand – Ladies, Plus, Maternity and Girls. My key responsibilities include: RESEARCH 1) Research on emerging trends by regular trend analysis through trend forecasts, market study and competition analysis. 2) Engaging in the new ideas and concepts in line to have a strong sense of fashion and commerciality. BUYING & SOURCING 1) Travel to meet Fabric & Garment Suppliers within India & abroad - Attended Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics fair in Shanghai, China. 2) Travel to Bangkok, Hongkong, Shanghai & multiple cities in India for buying & market study to extract indigenous market trends. FABRIC, FIT & SAMPLING: 1) To work with Suppliers, testing labs & production team to achieve concept fabric samples for core and fashion styles across categories 2) Identifying & controlling garment Fit-flaws for samples. 3) Analysing production issues & provide solutions in sample development. MERCHANDISING: 1) Planning and finalising Fabric, Garment, Trim Orders for the season. Confirming cost and quality. 2) Co-ordinate with Suppliers, merchandising team and production teams majorly from India, China & Bangladesh on Production Timeline, Shipment and stock issues and PI, PO and LC procedures. 3) Meeting QCs for product briefs. VM: 1) Actively involved in the working with VM team, Projects team & Retail team. 2) Designed First Flagship store & first VM focused store of the brand. 3) Designed & supervised 100+ store plans of the brand. MARKETING: 1) Working with Marketing team on Product information, photoshoots & campaigns etc. 2) Created core structure & design for new brand website (Launched 2022) along with other teams.
