The publishing engineering team is a group of about 40 engineers that build and maintain systems used by 1,450 journalists in the newsroom as well as 4,500 photographers around the world. These tools empower the newsroom to reach a global audience of 150 million users each month, and support publishing 6,000 articles each month, along with thousands more accompanying images, slideshows, videos, podcasts and interactive features. Needless to say, these tools need to work 24/7, serving not only our journalists, but our readers around the entire globe.
