Through the last year and a half, my responsibilities at In The Swim were to manage and oversee *all aspects involving the purchasing portion of In The Swim's Dropshipping Program. Daily Responsibilities Include, But In No Way Are Limited To: - Batching, printing, transmitting dropship factory orders to proper vendors. -Reviewing Order Acknowledgements and checking our costs, part numbers, quantities, and product descriptions to avoid invoicing discrepancies. -Updating the central order entry system with the most accurate ship dates available and noting lead times to properly inform our customers. -Continuously obtain tracking information for each factory order line item and enter into our system to close the order and invoice our customer. This is my main focus throughout each day. -Send and follow up on rush shipping/cancellation requests from Customer Service. -Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with all vendors while helping to ensure that In The Swim receives top of the line Customer Service. -Communicate and follow up on any additional questions a vendor may have once receiving a factory order (color choice, material, invalid part numbers, price discrepancies).

While working in the In The Swim Call Center as a Customer Care Representative,I would take inbound phone calls for our Residential Department, Commercial Department, and our Parts Department on top of Customer Service phone calls. These phone calls can range from a simple chlorine order - to - trying to find replacement parts for a pool cleaner - to - helping an upset customer who's package arrived damaged and now they won't have pool pump in time for their grandson's 6th birthday party! Basically, my responsibilities as a Customer Care Representative were to take care of our customers any way I could while abiding by both company policies and manufacturer warranties. We would assist with and follow up on any damaged or lost packages, warehouse mis-picks, vendor errors, order entry error, as well as providing basic information on how to claim a warranty or make a return.

While working for SASED, I learned to care for children of all ages and educational levels. I've learned how to incorporate structure to almost any situation whether it is in the classroom, home, or out in the community. The goal of the Multi-Needs Program is INDEPENDENCE. Every activity is designed to help them achieve that goal; from personal grooming to grocery shopping. I have been trained and certified to use CPI & Menta if a violent situation should occur. For over one month, I was part of a "Crisis Management Team" at Westmont High School before leaving SASED. There, I gained personal experience on how to defuse an escalated situation - as well as what tools and sensory strategies to use when attempting calm an anxious child. I've worked with kids in wheelchairs or using walkers - kids who have high sensory needs - are G-Tube fed - need help diapering/grooming - kids that need help with Hand-Over-Hand feeding - that strongly depend on structure & schedules - and all types of verbal & non-verbal children. I worked side by side with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, etc. - implementing the goals set for each child. I learned new ways to adapt life (and fun!) activities to meet the needs of each individual child; feeding, grooming, art skills, computer skills, communication devices & books. I've worked with all grade levels throughout SASED - Pre-K through Grade 12. Working with these children has taught me so many things - What it TRULY means to have patience, to be tolerant, and how to think outside of the box. But above all - these kids have showed me that we can all accomplish the same goals - but each in our own way.
