Teresa C's current jobs
Reporting directly to the CFO, my initial major responsibility focused on introducing centralized purchasing to the agency. Strategies included creating the department from the ground up - hiring and training purchasing staff; educating agency departments on Florida statutes and the newly adopted agency policies; and creating and documenting standard departmental procedures. I personally handle sensitive or highly complex Requests for Qualifications/Proposals including Design-Build, or multi-discipline/phase professional services. I also manage warehouse operations including two full-time employees, and 2,800 SKU's ensuring parts availability to support water treatment and delivery in three counties. To create efficiency for staff we created FAQ's for our end-users and external ones for suppliers and consultants and put them on our intranet and website. I led the development of a supplier database enabling diversity tracking and coordinated the agency's first Supplier Fair. Introducing the agency to national Co-Op contracts saved nearly $100K in the first several months. I reduced the number of Board agenda items significantly by streamlining the contract renewal process. Since 2017 we implemented a P-Card program and my team has documented over $2,000,000 of cost savings. We have recently implemented Bar Coding, Cycle Counting, and Auto-Replenishment in the warehouse.
