As the executive leadership team member responsible for our reputation with numerous key audiences, I developed marketing, communications, government affairs and investor relations to effectively communicate our mission and ambition. My team helped investors, partners, regulators, policymakers, media, customers and the general public understand the transformative potential of breakthrough RNA technologies. One of the earliest of RNA-focussed biotechs, GreenLight’s initiatives included scaling RNA for human health and for agriculture. In human health, aiming to scale access to RNA-based vaccines and therapies across all parts of the world. In agriculture, aiming to protect honeybees and biodiversity, while reducing the use of chemical pesticides through RNA. In a few busy years I played a key role in how we: - Took GreenLight public on Nasdaq (GRNA) at a $1.2bn valuation - Successfully pitched investors to raise more than $200mn - Converted the company to a Public Benefit Corporation - Created, quantified and articulated our impact and ESG strategy - Created our first sustainability report and received our first ESG scores - Re-framed RNA as a technology that goes well beyond Covid vaccines - Quickly took the company from near zero media coverage to strategically significant global coverage in The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, The New York Times, TIME, Financial Times, Fortune, CNN and more
