The SERE OM27-S consists of modular adaptable interchangeable tool components that enhance the expeditionary capability in operational situations whether contingency based or METT-TC dependent. Its operational role is used to breach, pry, dig, anchor, climb, descend, leverage, splint, carry injured persons, evacuate, protect, and provide fortification and shelter. (Stronger, Lighter, Better, Faster, more equipped soldiers at a significantly reduced cost). From Austere, to Urban, to Subterranean, the Modular OM27-S provides the operator with unlimited advantages and capabilities in a smaller yet stronger tactical system. This suite of tools allows the operator to get small, moving with purpose and speed during Contingency and Asymmetric Operations.)
