7 great years promoting and selling both static and dynamic architectural LED solutions to architects, consulting engineers, electrical contractors and end users within the North West region along with supporting the sales efforts of the appointed Philips Key Account Managers .
• Role was to further develop the appointed VAR’s in assisting them to secure more projects to their businesses through : o Sales Assistance o New Product Introductions o Product Training o Demo Assistance • Search for and introduce new VAR’s to the dynamic and static portfolio. • Liaison with the European VAR Manager to implement pan-European direction. • Liaison with and regular updates to the National Sales Manager & Sales Director on all VAR activities and project forecasting. • Devised and implemented a new forecasting system for use across all appointed VAR’s.
• Role was to introduce the emerging technology of LED’s into the mainstream salesforce through: o Sales Assistance o Presentation to salesforce and customers on LED & LED Products • Assist the Product Managers with new product introductions to the UK. • Liaison with the European Solid State Lighting Team on the pan-European direction and implementation of LED systems & solutions. • Development of RiBA Approved CPD seminar on LED’s. • Delivering CPD seminars to salesforce core customers and architects. • Developed and delivered via the Marketing Team the concept of having an Architectural Lighting Demonstration Van (Ali Van) to take out across the country to support the salesforce with LED lighting demonstrations and mock-ups. • Reported directly to the UK MD as part of the Solid State Lighting Team.
• Role was to investigate becoming a full turn-key provider for Philips UK to the Hospitality Sector which included for cross business stream collaboration to maximise the total business opportunities for Philip UK. • Development of full lighting concept proposals. • Development of pricing strategy and quotation to sector including roll-out program pricing. • Project management: o Setting up of Partner Distributors. o Liaison with the European Hospitality Lighting Team on the pan-European direction and implementation of Philips systems & solutions.
