Timothy De Haan's past jobs
I started my career with BPG as the product development manager for our automotive product partners. As our project load continued to grow I was fortunate to build a talented product development team. At the time we desperately needed a project management tool so I implemented Microsoft Project with specific project templates to aid our team in meeting our launch windows. I designed and implemented an internal BOM system into our ERP system that could meet the current and future needs of the company. My team successfully launched hundreds of products that funded the fantastic company that we are today.
Initial job responsibilities included the procurement of +$10MM in materials to support our manufacturing plant. This role evolved into strategic supply agreements coupled with cost saving initiatives working with over 40 vendors. Responsible for the transition of all purchasing data including BOM's into the Pennzoil/Shell SAP system. With experience came the opportunity to represent purchasing in cross functional new product development meetings.
Initially responsible for procurement of primary and secondary packaging materials to support the VitaBath product line including: body wash, bar soap, body lotion, body mists, exfoliators, and gift packs. Additional responsibilities included managing both international and domestic subcontractors. Job expansion included working closely with product development to source new candle concepts as well as unique product offerings for gift packs. Other sourcing work supported the Claire Burke, Fitz and Floyd home fragrance lines.
