Leveraging the on-prem Cloudera cluster we have been successful in driving analytic success by delivering trusted data to the enterprise at speeds, previously unheard of at Sutter EDM. This speed comes in the form of speed to market for new data applications and speed of data delivery within these new applications. Currently implementing DevOps for data applications and running true Scrum teams to meet the deluge of data work. Moving towards a truly data driven enterprise the team has had to move past the traditional waterfall, ETL, and data mart creation and truly embrace a change in the way the team thinks about data and data delivery. Through a major culture shift we have created a highly trusting environment that is completely inclusive and non-punitive providing numerous gains for the EDM organization. By creating a highly engaged trusting group of teams we have seen gains in higher quality code, reductions in client complaints, a complete reversal in the number of "emergency releases", and a complete turn around of employee moral and satisfaction.
