Oversees media relations and social media campaigns to advance the Academy’s public health messaging and increase the prominence and respect that pediatricians enjoy. Deliver messaging across media and social media platforms and adeptly in various mediums, from newsletters and press releases that actually still draw heavy national media coverage to infographics, photography and in-house videos. • Helped expand and establish the AAP Dept. of Public Affairs first in-house studio, three-point lighting kit and production suite. Have edited hundreds of social media videos and led social media video campaigns that won awards and saw over a million views. • Runs media training programs for spokespeople and works with a group of over 350 media spokespersons to prepare them for media interviews.
