Global Operations and Supply Chain responsibility for the $ 1.3B faucets facilities with operations in India, China, Europe, Thailand and North America. Our network consists of 9 manufacturing facilities with processes including brass and zinc castings, multiple metal finishing techniques, machining, and assembly.
After rejoining JCI in 2014 I managed the 23 global manufacturing facilities for the Building Efficiency Division delivering $5B of finished product annually to the global markets. Responsibility included network strategy and optimization, daily plant operations, full P&L responsibility, new product launch planning and execution, continuous improvement, and quality functions. The first twelve years of my career was also with JCI (1987 - 1999) in the Automotive Seating Division where I quickly progressed to positions of increasing responsibility including Plant Manager assignments of Just-in-Time facilities supplying Mercedes Benz and Toyota. I completed an expatriate assignment in Belgium and Spain where I was part of a team that launched three greenfield seating plants within 24 months, helping to establish JCI's seating business in Europe. I gained in-depth Toyota Production Systems expertise by working side-by-side with a kaizen master while leading the joint venture facility supplying Toyota.
Promoted by the Division President to lead the global manufacturing and re-manufacturing network of 33 facilities generating $3.2B in annual revenue resulting in 22% operating margin. Initially responsible for 11 North American manufacturing facilities where the implementation of a holistic lean transformation and master scheduling system drove business growth to over $1B while dramatically improving on time delivery.
Led all manufacturing and operations for Pierce Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation, producing fully customized and commercial fire, rescue, and hazmat vehicles. Held full P&L responsibility for the commercial apparatus division.
