Tom Tamlyn

As CEO/Chairman, Tom reports to the Board of Directors and family shareholders and is responsible and accountable for the overall success of Tamlyn. Tamlyn ships across the US and internationally such as Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Brazil/South America, UK/Europe, and China among others. We are interested in acquiring companies that are similarly motivated to not accept the status quo, and push the industry to a higher level of quality, performance and service we can all be proud of. Our goal is to have Tamlyn products in all structures. He has been involved as a member of the Private Industry Committee of the National Hurricane Conference and a big supporter of Habitat for Humanity. Tom enjoys travelling especially internationally as well as University of Texas college football, Astros baseball, Building Science summer camp outside Boston with Dr Joe Lstiburek, movies, concerts, grilling, Sirius 60s on 6, morning bike rides, playing pickleball/working out/running, remodeling our house, enjoying our outdoor fireplace, trying out new restaurants with an old fashioned or a cabernet, reading and discussing business, politics and history, and watching comedies like King of Queens and Seinfeld. Tom developed a love for music at an early age starting in junior high school playing first trumpet at Pershing Junior High, then trumpet in the Houston All-City Orchestra, and trumpet/drum major in high school, and regretted not joining the Longhorn Band at the University of Texas at Austin. He especially loves soaring, emotional orchestra creations in movie themes such as Out of Africa, Dances with Wolves, The Deer Hunter, Gone with the Wind , The Godfather, even Star Wars, but also enjoys mostly 60s-80s pop icons Beatles, The Kinks, The Doors etc all the way to Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana etc.
