AllFasteners’ extensive catalogue of industrial and construction fasteners has catered to a wide range of trades and sectors across Australia and the United States. As general manager for Allfasteners, I have been responsible for key strategic projects geared towards business development and growth. This has included key business shift in 2013 that saw Allfasteners launch a larger range of standard and custom Allfasteners-branded product lines, which was instrumental for increasing sales as well as awareness of the business. I’ve kept the business ahead of the curve, across marketing, sales and operations, including the development of a volume-based competitive pricing structure—the first of its kind in the construction industry in Australia—the Tiered Pricing System. This system has been instrumental in giving our customers incentives for planning ahead for projects via stocking up on consumable construction supplies. The last 5 years in particular has seen the achievement of excellent returns on workforce capability in areas of resourcing. My commitment to efficiencies has seen consistent cost savings as the business has scaled. This has spanned across improvements in internal communications within the sales team, and via the in-housing of a marketing team who accommodate all aspects of external communications from traditional to digital means. In addition to this, ongoing efforts to better-integrate our despatch systems and human processes in our warehouses with our online capabilities has allowed us to be market leaders regarding our supply promises to our customers. Ongoing, I am seizing opportunities to make sure that Allfasteners remain Australia’s #1 place For All Things Fixings, both as the biggest online presence in our space in the nation, and through the important real-world relationships with our clients that we are known for.
