Probably True Solar Stories is a comedic podcast that reveals the secret solar stories and people that you never hear about. And why don’t you hear about them? Because they’re fiction. Why not true solar stories? Because it’s always more fun to make sh#t up. Written and produced by Tor "Solar Fred" Valenza, a solar pro and former Hollywood Film & TV writer.

Tor Solar Fred Valenza's past jobs
My goal for SepiSolar was to elevate a 10-year-old solar design firm into a recognized and trusted, national solar+storage engineering brand. To accomplish this, we completely redesigned the logo, tagline, mission, and website for better SEO and UX; wrote monthly blogs and white papers, email marketing, and webinars. To boost SepiSolar's brand recognition and thought leadership, we placed SepiSolar news, myself, and SepiSolar's CEO in over 20 solar and storage trade publications and podcasts, including GTM, The Interchange, PV Magazine, SunCast, Solar Power World, Solar Builder, and many more. We also established marketing relationships and collaborated with channel partners that often refer design and engineering services. The results: A nearly 98.97% YOY increase in unique monthly website visits, a 287.56% increase in website page views, and the average time spent on the new website increasing from 1:28 minutes in January 2018 to 4:24 minutes in January 2019.
In this role at Kiterocket (formerly Impress Labs; see below), I developed creative communication, marketing, and PR strategies for our solar and clean energy clients, as well as led clean energy business development for the agency. I also continued blogging on solar marketing best practices for the agency as well as for selected clients and executives.
After merging UnThink Solar with Impress Labs (now Kiterocket) in 2015, I brought my "UnThinking" solar marketing philosophy and creative solar strategies, adding 15 B2B and B2C solar clients and establishing the solar division as a clean energy thought leader and go-to solar marketing agency. Our dedicated solar marketing, public relations, and in-house graphic, web design, SEO, and video services teams served top tier solar brands, as well as clean energy start-ups.
