Hobart Brewing Company (HBC) was founded in 2014, they make exquisite beers and host a tear-away music and event venue down near the waterfront at Macquarie Point. A fast-growing business with a dynamic team and multi-faceted sales channels, HBC has been a lot of fun to work with. Even as the second largest craft brewery in the state, after MONAs Moo Brew, HBC cannot keep up with demand. Like many quality Tasmania food and beverages businesses at the moment, they cannot eye off supplying the mainland or beyond until they have the local market satisfied. Apart from chairing the quarterly Board meetings and an annual two-day strategy session, my role sees me provide regular business growth coaching to the General Manager and Operations Manager - with a focus on strategy, management and finance.
Ratho Farm is Australia's oldest golf course, and is the only public 18-hole course in Southern Tasmania. The convict cottages have been upgraded to beautiful accommodation of 20 rooms. My role on the Advisory Board is finance and management.

Old Young's is an award-winning and fast-growing vodka and gin distillery located in the Swan Valley, 30 minutes out of Perth, Western Australia. I am one of two advisors who sit on the Board and work with the Founder, James, to help grow the business to the next level. All Brick is the largest bricklaying firm in Tasmania. It has sister companies, All Carpentry and Multi-res - the latter focuses on building social housing in Tasmania. My role for the group of companies is the Chair the Advisory Board of eight.
The New Zealand Whisky Collection has the only remaining mature New Zealand whisky in the world, and after launching a new brand they are currently opening up new international sales channels. The last distillery in New Zealand closed in 1997, the company bought the remaining barrels in October 2010 and are currently working towards opening a new distillery in New Zealand. In late 2018 we completed our first crowd funding campaign in New Zealand, and raised $700k to build our distillery and expand our sales in export markets - adding to Australia, Europe, Taiwan and the USA.

Experience Consulting provides tourism consulting and property project management services on projects in Australia, New Zealand U.S. and the U.K. Projects include whisky distilleries in Tasmania, U.S., New Zealand and Scotland; golf course consulting in Tasmania and the U.S.; converting properties in to high-end accommodation in Tasmania; setting up and running vineyards for clients; and property development projects throughout Tasmania.
