ACBO is the peak professional association for Behavioural Optometrists in the Australasian region. I have established a Head Office for this organisation, developing systems and procedures for running their membership and affiliated activities. I have delivered a secretariat and efficient management to this leading professional association. Projects include: - project-managing the building of 3 websites - automating much of the admin of the association's operations - improving product supply chains & sourcing new products - development of their continuing education program - identifying licencing opportunities for their online education program - production of content for their e-learning platform - financial management of the organisation, working with treasurer & accountants - corporate governance procedures improvements - development of business plans, marketing strategies & public relations initiatives - securing financial support from sponsors & industry partners - collaboration with similar organisations globally to build a world-wide presence for this profession. Special projects include the administration of the Susan Larter Vision Trust, a charity that I helped ACBO launch in 2011. Development and improvement of the services it will provide to the community are a work in progress and much has been achieved by this charitable initiative since its launch.
