Source new business in the B2B arena and also responsible for compiling, costing and negiotions in tenders. Responisible for securing a 3yr telematics contract with Transnet on 3000units. With involvement in smaller customer request cost saving initiatives within Transnet and being involved with building KPI to measure and monitor these cost savings, the contract was extended to 5yrs with and increase to 5000 units. Also responsible for securing deals with Vector Logistics, Roadway Logistics, Dew Fresh, Sonnendal expansion into Jhb and many other corporate clients. I am also was able to source clients on the rest of the continent such as Larfarge Bamburi (Kenya), Namibia Dairies and Breweries (Namibia) and Coca Cola Sudan which included telematics and a routing optimization which resulted in 50% a reduction in fleet delivering the same customer in 5 days rather than 7days. Solutions including Telematics, Roadshow Routing and Scheduling, Route Compliance with an inhouse developed software called Daily Route Manager and other Supply Chain modeling tools such as JDA and Red Prairie WMS. Also responsible implementing distributions channels into Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Namibia.
Looked after the City of Johannesburg telematics contract on behalf of Fleet africa. My position required by my team of account manager to monitor Service Levels against contract through the implementation of KPIs. It also required engagement with Head of Departments with the city and enagageing and various other levels.
In this position, I was involved with Various OEM on the installation of the Irenco Observer Telematics solution into various trucks and vehicles. I would also document these and provide installation training to all Irenco Dealers at a national level. This later also extended to providing documenting and training users on the Observer FMS. This also led to me supporting sales efforts with presentations and technical scoping to meet clients requirements.
