FFBL(Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited) has enhanced its generation capacity through installation of 118MW coal based power plant. Generating power at 60Hz for process plant and 50Hz for power export to K-Electric. Project has successfully implemented on EPCM approach. Major packages are Boiler units, Steam turbine generators; Conveyor based solid handling system for Coal/ Ash, Balance of plant (BOP) for interconnection of all packages and 132KV power export unit. Plant is now operational after successful erection and commissioning. Joind FFBL Power Company Limited during Design and Construction Phase and carried out procurement, Design Reviews, Execution & Commissioning successfully with following major key mile stones. * MV and LV switch gears ABB (CZ Republic) and Schneider (Indonesia) respectively * MV (6.6 KV) and LV motors SULZER, HHI, WEG, ABB. * ABB & Alstom transformers up to 80 MVA * 60 MW power export turbine in coordination with corresponding Vendor Commissioning Engineers which mainly includes, GE Multilin Protection Relays (G60), GE LV Switch Gear, ABB Unitrol excitation control system, TEMEC Alternator, Electrical Control Logic Review for DCS including Protection Coordination. * Review Electrical SLDs, Plant Earthing System & Site Modification initiating Technical Clarifications with * OEM, Project Consultant and Execution Contractor * Electrical site In-charge for all executional activities, Manpower handling & project time lines tracking. * Erection and Commissioning of Gas Insulated System Alstom F35 Double Bus Bar | AIS System for Power Export Scope for FPCL Project.

Operations, Planning, Maintenance & Co-ordination: Assisting Operation Manager (WPK), Manager Generation (GAEL) for safe and smooth operation with optimum KPIs. Investigate plant deviations from operation standards maintaining optimal performance. Manage Plant Shift Operations and Manpower Handling. Preparation of comprehensive daily, monthly and annual reports for plant KPIs. Ensure implementation of PPA (power purchase agreement) with K-Electric, FSA (Fuel Supply Agreement) with Pakistan State Oil and O&M (operation and maintenance agreement) with Wartsila Pakistan. Develop SOPs (standard operating instructions & procedures), troubleshooting procedures. Prepare day to day job plans including participation and reporting on new projects and modifications on site. Data Recording and Reports Generation on Computerized Maintenance Management System Software (CMMS). Maintenance and testing of Generators, Motors, Protection Relays, LV, MV and HV Equipment. Planning and execution of Generator Preventive Maintenance based on running hours and break down history. Take up the issues with manufacturers for recommendations on repeated failures, guidance and information. Preparation and carrying out annual performance/ reliability tests of plant in presence of K-Electric personal.

My fast learning progress and satisfactory performance against all assigned tasks. I was promoted as Assistant Engineer Electrical in less than one year. Despite the standard trainee engineer period was about 1.5 years. On this promotion I was assigned responsibility for Rotating Shit Engineer Electrical and Instrumentation. My core responsibility as Shift In charge was to ensure smooth plant operation through troubleshooting, monitoring plants key performance indicators, execute control room operations in liaison with central control room of the utility company. Apart of handling my shift duties I took keen interest to review plant safety protocols and also refined them after getting approval from the management.

As Trainee Engineer Operation I use to document Standard Operating Procedure for the maintenance and operation activities. I also submitted numerous observations in the procedures which led towards improvisation in them. * Logging Plant KPIs. * Maintenance Activities on Generators | Motors | Switchgears. * Safety Protocol and review of Work Safety and LOTO procedures. * Report compilation for Plant Fuel and Lube Oil consumptions. * Programming of AVRs and PLCs logic on Warsila WOIS System

Learned about different types of switch gear panels, capacitor banks, SF6 circuit breakers and reading of electrical drawings and layouts. Visited various departments in the organization and learned its way of working.
