Indonesia is a young country that is edging towards 70 young years of independence. In that short amount of time, Indonesia has seen political, social and economic transformation that has undeniably been a miracle in its own right - many of which have been led by our country's students. Today I serve as the Chief Executive Officer of ISIC Indonesia, opening the country's students to a world of benefits and privileges. The ISIC - International Student Identity Card - is the only proof of full-time student status officially endorsed by the United Nations. The card is recognised by universities, academic institutions, student organisations, national governments and ministries of education all around the world. Issued in 120 countries with 4.5 million members, the card offers students more than 40,000 worldwide benefits at leading retailers, establishments and partners. My role at ISIC Indonesia represents a wheel turning full circle. As a student in Australia, I loved my ISIC card, carrying it with such pride and protection around the world 20 years ago. It is now an honour to partner with ISIC's Chairman of the Board, Matt East, based in Europe. Everyday, my role is to serve, lead and represent the evolving interests of Indonesia's students. I work with the country's leaders, academic institutions, brands, financial institutions, government, and army of students to ensure they are connected to the world of privileges and benefits they deserve. ISIC's global headquarters is at Amsterdam with national operations based in our Jakarta office at Matraman.
