When I was in the 5th grade we had a homework assignment to present in front of the class who we wanted to be when we grew up. Most kids seemed to know they wanted to grow up and become firemen, dentists, teachers, etc. but I had no idea how to find my one true future career. I finally went to my dad for help to find my answer. Dad said, "You can be anything you want when you grow up, honey. You can be a teacher, a garbage collector, or President of the United States." In that moment I learned my first lesson in manifesting a future I could barely imagine and since Dad's are always right (when you are an impressionable child) I believed anything was possible if you wanted it. As an adult, and maybe because of that 5th grade assignment, limiting beliefs about creating career moves makes me crazy! I am outraged by anyone, especially women, who see themselves as limited or not enough (not smart enough, rich enough, skilled enough, experienced enough) and decided to dedicated part of my professional life to helping women unleash themselves in all their glory and power into the world to make their unique contribution. As a result, every year we conduct Women's Leadership programs where women gather to develop their self confidence, chutzpah, and leadership in a supportive community/tribe of women supporting women. These leadership development programs are highly experiential coaching-like programs for professional women who have ambitious goals and who want to create powerful futures as leaders and make bold moves towards it. Women of all ages, levels and industries discover fresh ways to develop their sense of self, power, confidence, and capabilities as they create the next phase of their leadership.
