βοΈ We make entrepreneurship accessible to all βοΈ It was founded by Willem Gous, who has been an entrepreneur for more than 22 years. The Human Entrepreneur is passionate about the Entrepreneurial Way: When we develop the capacity to create value, everything becomes possible. We achieve this through our unique and disruptive approach to entrepreneurship - a reinvented apprenticeship model. π The Rapid Job Creation Programme A disruptive and human-centric approach to entrepreneurship and business acceleration we designed around the needs of necessity-driven entities, enabling people to become micro-business owners in five weeks or less and financially sustain themselves π Why this works The Programme uses education through the enterprise approach, transferring learning from the classroom into practice. This makes it possible to complete the learning cycle by moving from classroom discussions to testing concepts in new situations. Thereby gaining concrete experience and shifting the emphasis from passive to active learning. π Successes We took 57 young people from Diepsloot and Orange Farm in Johannesburg, South Africa. They had to build a business in 21 days generating enough profits to financially sustain themselves. A total of 30 businesses were created in 21 days and 73% were women-owned. No mentorship, coaching or support was provided after the initial 21 days. 6 months later 16 out of the 30 businesses (53%) are still trading and profitable and providing jobs for 25 people. In fact, an additional 14 businesses were created to fill income gaps due to seasonal business fluctuations or COVID regulations or in some cases replace businesses that failed. In 2021 we created another 70 micro-businesses and we continue to build on this. None of the businesses we have created in this programme required ANY external funding. π Mission To make entrepreneurship accessible, relatable and applicable to everyone.
