As head of Recruiting at EAB, I lead a team of recruiters and coordinators responsible for all talent acquisition activities across the firm, supporting groups including Engineering/Product Development, Technical Services, Delivery, New Product Development, Research, Strategic Marketing, Commercial, and G&A functions.
I joined EAB upon its spin-off from The Advisory Board Company to lead the firm's Technical Recruiting team (Engineering, PM, UX, QA, Data Science), HR vendor partnerships, and job advertising/employer branding strategy. Over time, I also took over ownership of our Content Recruiting team (Research, NPD, Strategic Marketing, and Creative).
At The Advisory Board Company, I focused on connecting our Recruiting teams with the most in-demand, hardest-to-find talent in the world. More specifically, I was: • A full-cycle recruiting lead across all Product Development functions (Software Engineering, User Experience, Product Management, QA, and Data Science). When no one was looking, I moonlighted to fill roles all the way from Legal, to Digital Marketing, to New Product Development. • A sourcing expert deployed against our department's toughest searches and tasked with developing training resources and presentations for our teams. • A project manager for numerous HR system and process implementations, including ATS integrations and recruiting tool utilization. • A strategy advisor to recruiting leadership and their teams, and a labor market researcher for hiring managers and business leaders. • Owner of our department's vendor partnerships, contract negotiations, and associated budgets. • Responsible for firm-wide recruitment marketing and employer branding strategy on several high-traffic web properties and social media profiles.
Program owner of part-time and full-time courses that empower people to pursue the work they love in technology, business, and design. I accomplished this by recruiting the very best practitioners in the field, equipping them with instructional training designed to engage adult learners, and closely monitoring students' progress throughout courses to ensure they're achieving their goals. This resulted in regularly meeting or exceeding NPS goal of 55%, including achievement of 100% NP score. Some areas in which I recruited/hired include: Front-end Web Development, Mobile Development, UX Design, Visual Design, Product Management, Digital Marketing, and Analytics. ____ A little about General Assembly: With full-time and part-time courses as well as classes, workshops, and events focused on topics in technology, business and design, GA provides educational opportunities suited for every skill level, lifestyle and budget - all in vibrant learning environments connected to an international network of peers and practitioners. Established in early 2011 as an innovative community for entrepreneurs and startups in NYC, General Assembly is a venture-backed, post-Series C startup, most recently voted Fast Company's #1 "Most Innovative Company in Education" and one of the "World's 50 Most Innovative Companies" of 2015.
