With over 400 researchers and engineers globally located at mainland China, Hong Kong, Canada, UK, France, Russia, etc., our mission is to push the frontier of AI research and build cutting-edge AI technologies used in ICT industries. Our research areas include fundamental AI theory, natural language understanding, computer vision, human-computer interaction, large-scale data mining and optimization, etc. I lead the Network Mind team as the project manager and principal researcher. I also manage the R&D and general operation activities of Huawei Noah's Ark Lab Hong Kong.

As the founding director of Huawei Montreal Research Centre, I am responsible for building Huawei's AI competence and promoting AI ecosystem in Canada together with top universities and local industries. I also manage the general R&D and operation activities.
Do research and development on SDN (Software-Defined Networks), telecommunication networks, machine learning, and cloud computing. Manage one project as the Principal Investigator on optimising SDN performance/efficiency in data centers by applying data mining on real-time network flows and adopting more intelligent network control strategies. Manage multiple projects as PM collaborated with research teams from top universities, including University of Waterloo, University of South California, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, etc. Research topics include SDN, online machine learning, large-scale data integration and analysis platform, etc.
In the project “High-Performance Cloud Computing System”, I work on the design and implementation of an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) cloud computing management platform, which provides high performance computing resource and on-demand cloud computing service to the small and medium enterprises and NGOs in Hong Kong.
In the project “Low-Cost Versatile Tracking Device and Technology for Logistic Applications”, I lead the software & algorithm team, which is responsible for the design and implementation of an indoor positioning engine using WiFi fingerprint matching algorithm.
