Alex Roberts's current jobs
Since July 2020, interim team lead, managing a team of 9 while the company look for a permanent Team Lead. Performing this role on top of my other duties. In this role, I hunt for new business, create and manage relationships with a very wide variety of customers and companies. This leads me to many different c-suite as well as fleet or procurement roles within the companies I engage with. I then manage the multiple different teams that help us provide the products and services to these customers. Given the age and maturity of Tesla and our products, having recently launched the Model 3 which fits within company car policies, I have been at the forefront of new processes and am continuing to help improve these. This role is country wide and I therefore often work from home and then travel all across the country to meet with clients and colleagues.
Alex Roberts's past jobs
I ran the Heathrow showroom of Tesla, helping us become the highest selling showroom in the UK in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, with 2016 being 20% higher than the next best location. I have helped coach and train up people who have now become managers of their own showrooms in the UK and Spain as well as helping developing some of the countries most successful sales advisors. Managing a Tesla sales location is very much like running my own small business and I have learned a huge amount in my time so far and I'm continuing to learn and develop. Watching as my team learn, grow and improve is what I find the most rewarding.
Working at several of our UK showrooms to proactively promote and sell the Tesla products and services. Role is a senior role, helping with management of the showroom and staff as well as performing sales activities such as test driving, offering advice and guidance to customers and closing sales. Often included event organisation and management on a consistent basis. Throughout my time in this role, I was in the top 5% of Sales Advisors for sales, and this includes being No1 for an entire quarter.
I worked as a front line sales person at the London Westfield store for Tesla. This involved all aspects of sales and customer service, meeting and greeting walk in customers all the way through to conducting test drives and ordering the cars with the clients. I was also involved in setting up and managing events around the country as we only had one location for the entirety of the UK until July 2014. The processes that I helped create are now being used across the countries many showrooms.
I was in charge of all office management and I managed multiple projects at once, going between suppliers all the way to designers and clients. This included conducting high end sales and marketing while also managing the logistics of all custom orders.
I helped in all aspects of the company, with marketing mainly but also with internal database management and with the ongoing projects.
- Worked as a sales consultant in the technology department for the Christmas period. Since then they have offered me two permanent positions, which I declined to explore other career options.
I helped with the sales of used cars as well as helping with the general management of the company.
I was a sales consultant in a small team and was personally responsible for a large section of the shop floor at their Fulham showroom which included many highly priced goods. I also gained more general experience of the management process of sales, marketing, supply and stock control.
