Ben Redmond's current jobs
Tesla is an automotive and energy company specialising in electric vehicles, battery storage and solar, with a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. __________ Promoted to manage solar and residential battery (Powerwall) deployment for Tesla direct customers in APAC, I manage multimillion-dollar budgets and projects, including working with the South Australian Government to the South Australian Virtual Power Plant (VPP) project. Leading a team of 11, I share my knowledge to develop team members and provide support to strengthen the team dynamic, ensuring customers have the best possible experience across sales, specifications and installations phases of projects. AREAS OF FOCUS ► Drive projects that increase efficiencies of installation processes. ► Lead reporting, tracking and all aspects of safety/compliance. ► Work with the wider Tesla team to meet local market regulations, provide input on Powerwall and PV (design, installation and commissioning) and manage stakeholder expectations. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS ✔ Set up Tesla’s energy direct sales functions in the Asia-Pacific, expanding energy product sales outside of North America, a company ‘first.’ Did so within 3 months and assisted with Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Japan set up/market launch preparation. Customer satisfaction skyrocketed (90%+ rating) and 2K+ systems for residential/SME customers have been sold to-date. ✔ Managed Phase 1 and 2 of the VPP deployment—the largest expansion of home battery storage systems in the world. Went above and beyond to complete each Phase within 6 months, rolling out 1K+ battery and solar installations across public housing estates. Cut customer’s power bills by 30%, boosted Tesla sales, and met budget. To learn more about Tesla’s superior energy product offerings, please contact me.
Ben Redmond's past jobs
Hired due to my experience in renewable energy and project management, I was tasked with making sure Tesla had a first-class network of installers to deliver exceptional installations to end customers within a retail context. As continuous improvement was a key focus of my role, I introduced new processes to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of solar and Powerwall installations from order to delivery. Detail-oriented, execution-focused and a professional that prioritised multiple competing tasks, I provided unique customer experiences, coordinated site visits and installs and monitored performance to ensure installers met industry standards. With customer satisfaction at the forefront, I strove to exceed expectations by being responsive, ensuring prompt follow-up, meeting project deadlines, escalating critical issues and implementing measures to improve installer management. Holding myself and my team fully accountable for performance, I set internal and external KPIs, reported to management, assisted with special projects, analysed data to inform key decision-making, and worked both autonomously and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
