Created and managed design system in Figma for Apple's core buy flow to be replicated into Magento templates for Apple Global Preferred Partners.
Designed alert system for data analysts - online SODAS (Safety Office Data Analytics System) for Hyundai Motor Company & AutoEver. Managed offshore UX and Design team. I designed through mockup iteration and rapid prototyping, a complex ecosystem starting with an RFP and a loose scope document. Managed client expectations and tightened scope. Resulted in a very usable and delightful toolset that the analysts were happy with. Plus all design matched Hyundai branding and included best practices. Result- Client is vey happy. "thanks for making it so usable and taking our needs into consideration" Build will happen over the next 2 years.
Platform Re-model/Re-Design With a new owner comes new branding, logos and visual design cues. When ICE Mortgage Technology purchased EllieMae they hired me to clean up one of their products, AllRegs, which publishes and manages 440,000+ mortgage industry documents that are updated 1000x/day. Then came the new branding, the dozens of other screens and I rose to the challenge. I ended up completely re-designing the entire site with the new ICE corporate re-brand, new icons, new interfaces and new ways to utilize technology to create a better user experience. Look for the rollout over the next 12-18 months.

United Health Care Group: Real Appeal Challenge: Integrate 3 pieces into one cohesive product, with incredibly short timeframe. Problem space: LARGE (+100MM members) healthcare company notices: if BMI is lowered, the insurance company saves money in many areas (hearts, knees, lungs, etc.). Goal: Create a product that is promoted within organizations that provides a way to engage employees to signup and reduce their BMI. Design Challenges: - Must show results in 30 days. - Integrate 3 disparate parts into one seamless product. - Incomplete roadmap - Mobile (native app) must provide same functionality as web site. - pre-existing legacy solutions were not user-friendly or easily altered - developers were behind their contractual schedule when I arrived and rubber stamped NO CHANGES on everything. RESULT: Beautiful, simple elegance product that integrates all components into a seamless experience for the user. User can track their food, exercise, watch their mentor/coach live, watch video classes, download recipes and more, all from the same app (iOS and Android) or website.
CHALLENGE: As agency of record, produce a cohesive strategy for Lexus to produce mobile apps. Codify into updatable document. Design challenges - Unclear vision - No oversite - mobile is a moving target RESULTS: Guidelines for Mobile Apps- for Lexus. 75 page doc with mixture of concept, strategy, real-world examples and strict guidelines that matched Branding Guidelines. PLUS Designed UX for various Lexus.com projects.

Product Design: CHALLENGE: Redesign the next 5 years of Volkswagen. - metaphor- find your next car like a dating site- such as Match.com - responsive site starting with iPad layout (due to tons of research- topline: > 50% of users use a tablet in research of the car buying process, most on actual car lots) - tie to actual inventory, not just re-touched images. - iterate daily RESULT: Clean site that hones down the "matches" (there are 5 Jettas in your area) and shows the results in real time. http://www.vw.com/find-match/ Additional work for Deutsch: Connected, strategized and wireframes various new site sections- DubChat, GTI Special Editions. Various maintenance on vw.com. Target.com: CHALLENGE: Target wants a live catalog for a 3-day event. Real room with celebrities, bands and back-to-school products streamed LIVE. Problem space: How do you manage the products in the 5 live rooms. If product sellout, breaks gets moved, etc.? RESULT: A web-based interface that allowed any admin to load initial product SKU's, change a room live, add celebrities, bands, I strategized,concepted, iterated, designed and wireframed- Content Management System with real time feedback and controls for RealTime Catalog Promo for target.com. TIMELINE: 3 days
CHALLENGE: Oracle bought startup InQuira- search engine optimization tool used in support environments at: FedEx, Apple, etc. All tools were custom engineering screens that required an expert to edit, change or-redesign any install. Bottomline: Not extensible. Design Challenge: Simplify all the metaphors, screens and tools while porting to web-based toolkit. Move to Oracle Cloud. Through white boarding sessions with stakeholders, engineers and users I refined the essence of each and every component to each tool within the toolset. I iterated mockups, wireframes and prototypes. Ran against real data to validate. Simplified and iterated some more. RESULT: Simple and obvious toolset for line managers on site without programming knowledge. Visual feedback of real-time data, cuts down guess work and improved quick accuracy. Surprise and delight: Beautiful, simple drag-n-drop boolean editor. Oracle Knowledge - Inquira search tuning tools on cloud.
