As head of the purchasing department for ZF Transmissions in Gray Court SC my focus is primarily on how the department best positions itself to assure highest quality parts are sourced at most competitive pricing. At a Purchase Volume of approx. 1.3 Bil. USD and a very steep growth curve due to the innovative product, the challenges in capacity and cost management dictate the day to day business. While MPV targets have to be reached, I am also driving the process of growing the department itself by 200% while implementing the required standards and processes to function as one unit in an efficient and effective way. From establishing KPIs in line with ZF's overall strategy to defining processes for supply chain activities, the focus continues to be on developing this young start-up and Purchasing department to a mature and seasoned purchasing force with the ultimate goal to be the benchmark of ZF Purchasing worldwide.
