Operational Accountability Accountable for identifying and delivering bottom line value to the business through implementation of innovative, new IT solutions and services, harvesting existing IT assets to enable the achievement of the business strategy, value drivers and KPIs. Business Analysis Responsible for translating key business requirements into IT specification during implementation of Global Standard applications. Provided key Applications input to business planning cycle as well as managing Applications budget and actual spend. Operational Responsibility Supervised 1 regular staff and 1 managed service in day to day task delivery. Maintained and supported Local SPEX applications as second line support, including project management and delivery of ad-hoc business requirements. Supported Business Administration, Engineering and Production Application Portfolios as first line support and deployed standard implementations of these applications. Completed Local SPEX Application’s Vista compatibility Testing and facilitated Project rollout of SPEX user Vista workstation from Win2000 Operating System.

Remediated local applications for Vista compatibility in preparation for User workstation migration from Windows 2000 to Vista. Evaluated existing SPEX applications for Group Infrastructure (GI) compliance and application upgrade, and prepared/configured systems for submission to the GI Scripting team as well as endorsed script decommissioning. Supported Upstream Business, Surface and Production Portfolios and Shell Standard Applications as first line. Supported Oracle, Citrix and non-GI applications as well as SPEX-customised applications (e.g. PI Web Reports, BO reports for EC) as first line and provided second line support to the SPEX Helpdesk for troubleshooting of GI Applications. Technical coordinator for local implementation of global application projects most especially for business interfacing (eg. EC Production, EC Sales, PI, Fountain, FSR, SmartConnect). Technical consultant to third party application developers in deployment of legacy applications, enhancements, patches and troubleshooting within the Shell Network (eg. CORA, Chemwatch) Developed procedure for C13 End User Computing (EUC) compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley (Sox) and monitored the effectivity of the controls as the EUC administrator. System Administrator for SPEX Terminal Servers for local applications. Systems administrator, applications and database (Oracle) support for non-GI Windows 2000 Terminal Servers with legacy applications (e.g., Energy Components, Business Objects, INtools, JPMorgan Chase Insight, Contract Information System). Systems administrator and support for web servers and applications (e.g., AIMS, OmniSafe, Inhibits and Overrides Monitor and Vulnerabilities Monitor systems).
