Designed 20+ custom parts, including coolant hose assemblies, thermal interface materials, extruded aluminum heat sink, copper bus bars, and 700A continuous sliding contact blind-mate connector. Designed and fabricated 6-up Burn-in/End-of-line tester for this converter's manufacturing line. - Generated prototypes, designed and ran accelerated life tests, and iterated to address design weaknesses - Determined required and achievable tolerances and released 2D drawings, 3D CAD, and BOM via PLM system - Drove continuous improvements to Model S & X on-board chargers for reliability, manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
