SFWEM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer organization to bring high-speed wireless mesh to areas in and around San Francisco for use during emergencies and disasters. As seen in recent wildfires, earthquakes, and hurricanes the need to stay in touch using modern technologies is crucial. SFWEM uses Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment modified to work in the Amateur Radio bands to establish the network.

Head of Security, IT, and Engineering Operations @ Copper (formerly ProsperWorks). Copper is the #1 CRM for G-Suite recommended by Google serving 13K+ businesses in 110 countries. Reported to the CTO / VPE. Led 4 direct reports managing service up-time, infrastructure, security, and corporate IT operations. Also managed the corporate Information Technology team providing visibility and centralization of ownership and accountability of security. Directed and facilitated compliance of SOC2 Type 1 audit and ongoing SOC2 Type 2 audits. ❏ Ran the service operations team that architected and maintained the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) running Kubernetes/Docker compute that used Ruby on Rails, Citus (Postgres), Redis, and ElasticSearch technology stack with NewRelic/Scalyr for monitoring and response. ❏ Enabled organizational expansion into mid-market, enterprise customer, and partnership growth with rapid SOC2 audits and GCP hosting migration with the potential to grow the company to $1B. ❏ Created a framework for service operations that led to the development of 3 different Agile teams capitalizing on employee strengths and cross-training. ❏ Developed company-wide security program and team optimizing data integrity and confidentiality. Increased customer and business partner confidence in data privacy. ❏ Conceptualized and led education and training development program for Engineering staff post-transition to IaaS hosting solution allowing pod level knowledge transfer.

Managed the production environment for Radius, provider of business intelligence report and data refinement for Salesforce CRM. Reported to the CTO. Directed the engineering operations team managing service up-time, infrastructure, and security. Oversaw production environment delivering predictive marketing software allowing B2B companies to discover new market opportunities measuring success using Big Data technology. ❏ Led automation of service hosting using Infrastructure as Code model. ❏ Launched a Public Bug Bounty Program. ❏ Directed and facilitated compliance of initial SOC 2 Type 1 audit and ensure ongoing-compliance of SOC2 Type 2 audits with CSA engagement. ❏ Deployed and maintained AWS Linux servers that ran Tomcat, Postgres, Redis, and Spark services. Utilized Splunk / NewRelic for monitoring and response. Designed and implemented AWS CloudFormation stacks for Disaster Recovery.

Managed the production environment for Shocase, a vertical market social community for marketing and creative professionals. Oversaw the automation and performance for service at an IC level. Created business intelligence reporting sourced from Splunk / MongoDB. Developed a web app that correlated and reported all system changes with Jenkins builds and deployment status. Implemented LDAP / IAM Instance Roles for all systems in AWS.

Managing the Network Operations for the World’s first gift network connecting millions of credit and debit cardholders from the world’s largest financial institutions with national and local merchants. Reported to Co-Founder/VPE. Owned service hosting infrastructure ensuring the availability of data processing pipelines and security of almost real-time card transactions of ¾’s of the US population. Oversaw management of 100 Redhat based Linux servers providing large data processing using Hadoop / HBase to 5M+ cardholders in the US with 6 largest national banks. Migrated the entire Rackspace colo-located production and staging infrastructure to Amazon AWS VPC in 3-weeks. Reduced OpEx $1.2M annually and automated service hosting with Infrastructure as Code. Automated daily service processing workflow and created incoming/outgoing data validation tools. Created 30+ scripts streamlining daily operations, troubleshooting, and data processing to the service.

A global leader in location-based applications delivered via mobile devices. Lead a global IT / Operations Group managing 3,000+ RedHat and CentOS servers providing GPS location and navigation services to 30M+ users globally across 3 data-centers supported by the US and China-based NOCs. Headed the SOX auditing technical implementation efforts when they went IPO.

PRN is a network solution provider in the digital place-based media marketplace. The Company develops and provides services for video advertising and video merchandising networks. Reported to the CTO. Directly responsible to proactively monitor, troubleshoot and develop for the world's largest in-store television network that reached 80% of the US public each month via networks in Costco, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Supervalu and other major retailers with over 210,000 TV screens in 6,400 retail locations across the US. Managed a strict Change Control process along with Quality Assurance and Software Development Processes.

Manage Geographic Information Systems software and hardware platforms along with client technical support and training. Research and development of new revenue sources with emerging technological advances.

Owned and operated an IT Consultancy that had did work ranging from internet providers to restaurants point of sale systems.

Provide assistance in areas of network engineering and server administration, reporting directly to the head of MIS.

Industrial and commercial painting, and fast food restaurant build-outs and tenant improvement projects in Oregon and California.
