Joe is responsible for investment oversight of HighGround’s open-end commingled funds, including $1.2 billion in endowment funds, $200 million in planned giving assets (charitable remainder trusts and gift annuities), $190 million in cash and reserve assets, and $190 million in mineral interests and real estate. Strategic portfolios are constructed using HighGround’s asset class funds comprised of 44 investment managers employing over 70 underlying investment strategies. He has experience with all assets classes including traditional, long only equity and fixed income, and alternative asset classes; private equity, private real estate, energy, long-short equity and absolute return strategies. Joe also interfaces with HighGround’s key institutional clients’ senior staff and Trustee Boards, advising on capital markets, investment policy, strategy, managers and performance.
