I was responsible for the UK business which grew to 5 million members. Each week producers select and test the best 20 travel and entertainment deals and publish them in our Top 20, the top travel email in the UK. We also publish NewsFlash alerts of major sales, UK breaks, Entertainment and Local Deals. More deals appear on the website with over 5 million visits per month and are accessed via mobile products with over one million app downloads in the UK. I also had responsibility for Fly.com, Travelzoo's online meta-search service for flights and hotels until its sale in spring '17. Travelzoo has won Best Travel Deals Provider at the British Travel Awards for 7 successive years as well as at the Travolution awards for the last three. In addition, Travelzoo won Global Brand of the year at the PRWeek Global Award.
Following the successful sale of Whatsonwhen to John Wiley Publishing, owner of Frommer's Travel Guides, I took on overall responsibility for the development and delivery of digital travel content services to the travel industry for EMEA & APAC. Working with clients across the travel industry from BA and Virgin Atlantic to Hilton and IHG hotels and OTAs such as Lastminute, we provided their digital content and strategy to help them attract, engage and convert customers via their online channels. Frommer's Unlimited did this by providing partners with comprehensive travel content using multimedia delivery that is customised to fit the clients’ brands and connect with their customers. Frommer's was then sold to Google.
