Massive Interactive was acquired by Deltatre in 2019 Lead the development and operations of a global live / VOD sports platform for a major sporting client (DAZN). Ensure that platform is available, secure, responsive, resilient and continually developed to meet client's and client's customer's requirements. Key client technology contact, working directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, up to CTO. Grew team to around 100 technology staff of various disciplines (architecture, development, dev/ops, ops, QA, SRE), in order to migrate from monolith to NodeJS/Go microservices oriented platform, built microservices and SRE teams from scratch, introduced devops practices into teams with teams fully responsible for their services. Ensured that our API and living room device development teams worked to the same standards of engineering excellence, that scalability and availability targets were met. Developed the solution from being able to land a few thousand users to a few million over a 10 minute period. Extensive experience of Amazon Web Services, from managing a global cloud software platform, advising on the design of AWS based services to working closely with other technical stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure solutions meet our clients’ expectations.
