XACCT (search xacct.com on archive.org) a California based software firm, that pioneered “Real-Time Billing Mediation” - a field akin to telecom usage billing. Over the course of 6 years, XACCT raised over $85M in venture capital funding in five rounds of investments. Investors included Sun Microsystems, Dell, H&Q, TCV and Trident. In February 2004, XACCT was acquired by Telecom OSS giant Amdocs (NYSE:DOX). Limor's role was initially to develop the novel technology that collected every possible piece of network traffic evidence from the largest networks, and consolidating this information into billable records. Later he moved to the role of CTO and evangelist, presenting the company in over dozens of public events and publications, working with the sales force around the world and steering the company towards the mobile operator data world fostering the first mobile operator sale for the company. The company was sold to Amdocs in 2004.
