My practice focuses on the defense of product liability claims. I have experience managing multiple aspects of civil litigation, including fact and expert discovery and development, as well as law and motion practices in both state and federal courts. I recently served on the team defending a major automotive company in high-profile alleged unintended acceleration litigation. I have also done work on personal injury claims involving medical devices, such as dental equipment, implantable devices and cold therapy systems.
While working in a litigation-focused practice, I obtained experience on both the plaintiff and defense sides. I pursued, to favorable results, disputes involving the misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition and business practices, as well as contract, real property, and employment disputes. I also revised and generated operational and consumer policies, terms of service, and privacy policies for internet-based companies. This position was heavily focused on client service, and clients ranged from individuals to mid-sized corporations. I also conducted numerous substantive court appearances in state and federal court and independently handled a number of mediations.
Conducted legal research, wrote research and advisory memoranda, wrote and argued pre-trial motions, and made court appearances on behalf of the District Attorney's Office.
I assisted a supervising attorney with every aspect of civil litigation caseload, including extensive legal research. I also prepared memoranda and assisted with deposition preparation, and the preparation of discovery and pre-trial motions.
I supported a supervising attorney during homicide trials, appeals, and sexually violent predator commitment trials. I also conducted legal research and investigative work and assisted with client interviews as well as expert witness research and trial preparation.
