Responsibilities • Set up, implement and maintain a purchasing and logistic commodity strategy • Set up short & long term targets • Promotor of synergies between plants belongs to our CIE Automotive In Mexico for competitive improvement in terms of pricing, quality, service with suppliers including external logistics (carriers and forwarders) • Plan strategic purchase including Best Supplier Annual awards, taking consideration of previous year purchase record, supplier’s performance in commercial, quality and deliveries on products. • Plan strategic purchase including Best Supplier ESG Awards taking consideration of previous year of development on Environment, Social Responsibility and Governance. • Set up and control sourcing plan and supplier portfolio optimization • Develop and improve purchasing processes, procedures, policies, documents and Supply Quality Chain Manual • Mitigate supply chain risk • Set up, implement, improve and conduct supplier evaluation for productive suppliers and main commodities for indirect materials suppliers • Research and evaluate potential vendors • Conduct analyses of market conditions and trends to predict future supply needs. • Assure to purchase for lowest costs considering total cost of ownership • Assure the best commercial terms including delivery time, payment terms, freight terms, etc. • Control department budget and expenses without affecting the quality of work • Build up and maintain healthy and strong relationships with the suppliers on a leadership level • Cooperate closely cross functionally on a leadership level • Liaise between suppliers and relevant internal departments and customers on a leadership level For 11 plants located in México, direct, indirect materials, CAPEX (investments, Machinery, Construction), industrial services, indirect goods and logistic external operations. Over 300 M dollars annual budgets.
