Responsible for building out and running one of Twitter's data centers. I grew a team from 2 to ~20 technicians and systems engineers with 5-10 contractors. Responsibilities include overseeing rack&stack, server deployments, network infrastructure build outs, warehousing/logistics and break/fix for our large scale computing platforms.
I ran the transition team for the social networking gateways as the lead systems engineer. I later moved on to take on another team in addition after several rounds of RIFs. I transitioned my responsibilities as managed the team until I left for another opportunity.
I was tasked with running the NOC for Xiocom Wireless. This involved monitoring, customer support for end users and deployments in places ranging from Panama City, FL to Kigali, Rwanda. Along with these responsibilities I took over the level 1 support and outsourced it to a St. Louis based call center company. Working with my team we developed standard troubleshooting procedures and took over first level technical support for Mainstreet Broadband as well.
