Created a receipt log to manage receipt and stay in budget. The log became the foundation for a web based ledger that was rolled out to areas several years after the EXCEL log was created. Worked with vendors to analyze inventory needs and flow, as well as, project margin shortfalls and negotiate allowance and/or cost reductions to offset. Worked with Assortment Planner/Buyer to ensure assortment would fit within inventory plans and help achieve sales plans. This included item planning, floor-set reviews and cost/retail analysis to help achieve profit plans. Assisted in preplan promotions/permanent markdowns to drive sales when needed. Reviewed advertising with buying team to look for issues that would impact forecasted promotional rates.
