Managed a group of program managers to launch Amazon MP3 digital music store and Cloud Player services on all Amazon devices (Tablets and Phone) and external Android platforms in international markets. Responsible for portfolio management of all projects and releases. Personally led the launch of new Amazon Cloud player & music store services on Kindle Fire HD and HDX series of tablets in North America, Europe & Asia (2 generations). Led several cross functional client and service teams to deliver these highly performing and scalable mobile services.
- Managed ODM partners (Foxconn, Compal & BYD) & 3rd party software vendors to ensure timely delivery of complete software stack for Nokia CDMA handsets. Authored technical product specs, SoW and evaluated RFPs to support vendor selection. Customized Nokia processes to establish a working baseline with ODM partners. Led software concepting activities for Nokia CDMA portfolio. Assessed feasibility of new concepts, aligned with hardware roadmaps and planned against product roadmap. - Launched Nokia 6206 & 6316 by managing ODM teams (size: 100+). - Identified the need for a unified SW Platform strategy across all ODM vendors and mobile carriers for Nokia’s S40 range of CDMA handsets. Built business case models and led the proposal to gain top-management buy-in. - As the software concepting lead, led cross-functional teams during concepting phase for mobile solutions for MeeGo platform. Created technical specs & spearheaded commitment process across several technology groups.
- Managed a group of 20 developers/architects/project leads to deliver multiple projects to several at&t handsets. Maintained project roadmap and facilitated feasibility analysis, scope definition & project initiation. - Played a key role in setting up the San Diego site with a new project mode of operation from scratch with the strategic objective to regain solid base in at&t portfolio. Owned and defined major part of the new operational processes to become a model for other global sites. - Delivered several handset enablers for mobile Internet services such as blogging, image sharing etc. Collaborated with at&t as launch partner to develop and deploy a device diagnostics service.
Managed Java mobile platform (J2ME) group to deliver customized Java platform to CDMA phones. Led the design, development, test & delivery activities and collaborated across international R&D sites in Finland, Denmark, UK & USA. Maintained J2ME platform roadmap. Supported various 3rd party software vendors developing content for Nokia java platform. Spearheaded development & integration of handset enablers for the java based Nokia content delivery solution. Made significant contributions to the first version of CDG-GHRC Java specification.

Played an instrumental role in architecting & implementing an application management framework (J2ME extensions), which led to more than 50% reduction in development time for customized UI solutions in Java for various carriers.
