In charge of maintaining standard personnel levels on the lines to include the oversight of their complete training on the equipment they use, but more importantly the safety policies and procedures of our corporate base and plant. I was in charge of the production or lack thereof as well as the entire plant to include personnel, equipment, and operations as I am the only member of Management in the plant at night. I have been successful in maintaining an average of 85% or better in completed tray production on my shift since I have started which is our plant standard. I maintained a shift labor log and check it periodically to make sure I am not going over the budgeted labor hours and percentages which means having the hard task of sending people home when not needed. I also oversaw and am responsible for the plant Quality issues when and if they arise, which means having to troubleshoot material and equipment issues to resolve and make sure we are packing the various to customer standard or better. I have gained more experience in hiring, terminations, behavior counseling, negative documentations, and working 12 hour nightly rotating shifts with my past responsibilities in this position.
The Molding & Alcohol Swab Department night shift manager at the largest manufacturer of diabetic and safety syringes in the world. I oversaw around 30 Molding Associates who produced all the plastic components of the various types of diabetic syringes on the various 84 molding presses we had in our arsenal. In addition to my molding responsibilities, I also oversaw 5 Swab Associates who produced various isopropyl alcohol soaked pads for global customers. I was in charge of the way we monitored quality processes and how we conducted inspections to make sure quality and demand was upheld.
