Front-end lead for the DASH project, a near-realtime dashboard for ground crews and other parties involved in managing and maintaining their Gogo internet for business aircraft.

Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer Lead architect and developer for TIBET, a full stack application framework which supports creating single-page web applications primarily in markup. Stack includes full client-side MVC/MVVC support, a modular Node.js server, and an event-driven microservice engine supported by a Node.js-based command line tool and full CI/CD integration. Frameworks - Led development teams in the creation of two enterprise class JavaScript frameworks, Yahoo!'s Mojito, and Technical Pursuit's TIBET framework. Developed production applications using jQuery, Backbone, Bootstrap, Sencha, YUI, and TIBET. Limited experience with React working on internal TPI projects. Node.js - Designed and developed Node.js servers for United Health Group and Technical Pursuit. UHG server passed United's PEN testing and was deployed in support of 2016-2017 open enrollment for millions of health insurance customers. Mobile - Developed IOS and Android mobile applications for Accurence Inc used for insurance inspection in the field. Work included custom component development with Sencha/ExtJS for carousel and photo management related to claims. NoSQL - Designed and developed microservice choreography engine using CouchDB. Created full command-line support for creating "couchapps" as well as pushing documents, views, and other content to CouchDB. Created pure REST client/server application components leveraging CouchDB on the server and TIBET in the client.

Front-end Engineer on the Revenue team, specifically working on internal dashboards for advertisers and advertising review tools. Worked directly with ad-review end-users to identify workflow issues, design solutions, and implement/deploy the resulting design updates.

Team lead for the Mojito project, the centerpiece of Yahoo!'s "Cocktails" web framework initiative. Mojito is an open-source full-stack framework built entirely out of JavaScript and available on GitHub. The Yahoo! User Interface (YUI) library was leveraged on both client and server to provide a broad and stable platform for multi-device application development.

Senior UI Engineer on the Google Apps team for Google Docs, specifically working with challenges related to internationalization including right-to-left layouts. Based on my architectural/structural background I eventually transitioned SketchUp team focusing on JavaScript and Ruby development specific to extending the SketchUp platform. Joined the Google BuildingMaker team, serving as lead JavaScript developer for BuildingMaker, a ground-breaking browser-based 3D modeling tool. Was part of 3 patent filings related to BuildingMaker. Also sole inventor for Google patent related to client-side search query reformulation.

Lead architect and developer of TIBET(tm), an Enterprise-class web framework for advanced single-page application development. Was part of filings for two separate patents related to OO and event handling in JavaScript as a result of TIBET development. Designed, developed, and sold commercial and custom software specific to the NeXT/RDBMS market. Commercial products included "DBCommander", a graphical system administration tool for NeXT/Sybase circa 1992) reviewed highly by NeXTWorld Magazine; "Dataspace", a graphical file and database browser with integrated schema design, form design, and administration features circa 1994; and "LiquidData", a Java-based data access server licensed to General Magic for use with their Telescript agent technology in 1996. Custom software development clients included Fannie Mae, Bell South, PanCanadian Petroleum, Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, MCI Worldcom, Encompass, Filoli Information Systems, and UPS Global Logistics.

Led system / network adminstration team in charge of Human Genome Project system while hosted at Los Alamos. Managed a small team of Sun system/network administrators while growing the network from 3 servers and 30 workstations to 6 servers and 100+ workstations. Served as the physical DBA, managing all backups, restores, and disk management for Sybase database which held all Genome data and related research. Held Department of Energy Q-level clearance.

Provided primary technical support to users of RDBMS technology lab-wide including Ingres, Oracle, and Sybase. This included not only telephone technical support but creation and delivery of SQL, normalization, and database tuning classes to laboratory DBMS users. Designed and developed the trouble ticket system used by the DBMS Support group to handle their workload. Expanded system admin skills from VAX/VMS to include Sun OS. Held Department of Energy Q-level clearance.
