I am excited to establish a Site Reliability Engineering program and support the team as their engineering manager. This transformation includes organizational and process change, hiring and building the team, working across the value stream from Product to deployment feedback loops and incident response. Contributing to BYU OIT’s mission and initiatives as an Engineer is an amazing opportunity with an uplifting, lean, and innovative work environment. Activities and essential functions include: ● Delivering microservices on cloud resources with Event-Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, and Continuous Delivery - including AWS, Docker, and FaaS. ● Automating and orchestrating approximately 30 AWS accounts. Principal Engineer on the AWS SWAT team. ● Creating and implementing security policies and responding to security incidents. ● Developing software, systems, and processes, including control procedures, development standards, and continuous delivery pipelines. ● Leading projects and supervising other developers and engineers. Responsible for client relations, technology implementation, enterprise architecture, system administration, software development and project management. ● Coordinate internal and external client projects, including ERP deployment, eCommerce integration and website design/development. ● Perform information/communication technology related tasks to execute projects and meet client expectations, including system administration, software development, web application design and project management. ● Collaborate with clients to determine technology goals and develop solutions and applications. ● Employ diverse Open Source technology and commons based licensing. Selected Projects/Highlights: ● Patented process integrating Internet agility with precision instruments to dramatically enhanced customer experience. ● Launched Internet hosting brand in 30 days. ● Created hybrid cloud incoming call center. ● Provided leadership, management, and support for project teams spanning three continents. ● Effectively negotiated contract disputes with diverse stakeholders. ● Designed cutting edge eCommerce enabled video portal.

Summer internship. Designed and developed a synchronous, collaborative content editor application/tool for the content management system, Drupal. Employed external Python gateway for operational transformation. Internal module utilized PHP and JavaScript in compliance with Drupal coding standards and the Drupal API.

● Served as Project Manager for projects exceeding $500K. Responsible for team coordination and management, estimating, scheduling, scope development, budget management and project status updates. ● Cultivated and fostered strong relationships with Clients, Engineers and Architects to execute project activities seamlessly. ● Preformed contracts for public agencies and worked with Federal and State Officials to ensure proper execution of public resources and project specifications.
