I lead the team responsible for search on YouTube and video search on Google.com. We built infrastructure to serve billions of queries/day and made ranking algorithm improvements across these 2 products. I also helped with product planning, roadmap & strategy for video search.
* Worked with Prof M. Tamer Ozsu to develop a compact storage scheme for XML. * Implemented the entire storage and query processing system. Our prototype outperformed many available XML databases including X HiveDB 4.0. * Results were publised in IEEE International Conference on Data Engg. (ICDE) 2004.
