Introduced multiple new services on our cloud platform via Kubernetes, reduced patching time by over 50% through automation, introduced learning tracks (boot camps) for CI/CD tools, helped drive engineering learning curriculum, reduced wait time of onboarding to our tools by days or weeks to 24 hours or less, and helped drive an engineering culture by knocking down walls between teams causing further efficiencies.
Our organization provided coaching guidance and best practice in the Agile, API and DevOps domains which includes the Developer Practice, Dojo, Learning Academy, and Coaching Office. I worked with IT teams and leaders within IT and Business to improve the way that we deliver value to Delta. We assisted in deploying 100+ APIs into production, supported ~2,500 developers at Delta Air Lines with CI/CD tools and in partnership with the Cloud Engineering team has provided pipeline capabilities, sample applications, and container configurations for our on-prem cloud solution and public cloud capabilities. With this assignment, I built a team with variety of talented individuals to deliver a culture of DevOps by working across our enterprise promoting automation, developer practice, cross functional needs of product teams, introducing new CI/CD tools and processes, and constantly work towards continuous improvement. In collaboration with other CoE leaders, I recently lead the launch of a 'Dojo' to bring six of our CoE/teams together to work with our development community to change the way that we deliver software at Delta Air Lines. Our team supported ~4,000 engineers and installed, maintained, and supported GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube, IDE tools, and others.
